We, the <oXygen/> team, want to make a difference. We plan to help any non
profit (including governmental) organizations that are active in any of the
following domains: Ecology, Human Aid, Renewable Energy Sources. If
you intend to use <oXygen/> in your organization, please fill-in the form below
with a description of what your organization does and we will be happy to offer up
to five individual free licenses per organization and a 50% discount for the
additional licenses that you may need.

| | Estonian Society for the Protection of Animals The Estonian Society for the Protection of Animals (ESPA) has been
operating since spring 2000. ESPA is a non-profit association comprised of
animal friends with a mission to assure and improve animal welfare and
prevent animal abusing. The mission is carried out by helping the animals
directly, raising public awareness, educating people on the subject, animal
protection control and being engaged in legislative drafting. |

institutions of Asia and the United States. We seek to enhance dialogue,

| | Tree of Life Web Project The Tree of Life Web Project is a collection of information about
biodiversity compiled collaboratively by hundreds of expert and amateur
contributors. Its goal is to contain a page with pictures, text, and other
information for every species and for each group of organisms, living or
extinct. Connections between Tree of Life web pages follow phylogenetic
branching patterns between groups of organisms, so visitors can browse the
hierarchy of life and learn about phylogeny and evolution as well as the
characteristics of individual groups. |

| | University of Kansas Biodiversity Research Center Specify is a research software application, database, and network
interface for biological collections information. It manages specimen data
such as descriptions of collecting locations, participants and determination
histories as well as information about collections transactions such as
loans, exchanges, accessions and gifts. |
| | Santa Barbara Coastal Long Term Ecological Research Project Their primary research objective is to investigate the relative importance
of land and ocean processes in structuring giant kelp forest ecosystems in
the Santa Barbara Channel, California. |
| | University of Illinois, Kriven Research Group The Kriven Research Group do materials research in geopolymers (a form of
material that can replace many currently used materials such as cement,
certain adhesives, and even high-tech applications such as semiconductors)
which have the ability to reduce carbon emissions by 50% in their production
over the materials they replace. |
| | NC State University, Center for the Biology of Nematode
Parasitism Nematodes are the world's most important and ubiquitous multi-cellular
parasites, attacking humans, domesticated animals and cultivated crops. They
cause untold levels of economic damage and suffering worldwide and are
responsible for many severe human diseases that afflict up to half of the
world's population. |
| | National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, The Geophysical Fluid
Dynamics Laboratory The Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory is engaged in comprehensive
long lead-time research fundamental to NOAA's mission. The goal of this
research is to expand the scientific understanding of the physical processes
that govern the behavior of the atmosphere and the oceans as complex fluid
systems. These systems can then be modeled mathematically and their
phenomenology can be studied by computer simulation methods. |
| | Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne Since 1995 the Royal Botanic Gardens has led the way in water
conservation for large landscapes. RBG Melbourne is recognised as one of the
world’s finest botanic gardens. There are over 10,000 species and 50,000
individual plants in the 38 hectare gardens, including trees and plants of
great cultural value. Many of these plants are irreplaceable, endangered or
even extinct in the wild. |
| | Alfred Wegener Institute for Polar and Marine Research The Alfred Wegener Institute carries out research in the Arctic and
Antarctic as well as in the high and mid latitude oceans. The institute
coordinates German polar research and makes available to national and
international science important infrastructure, e.g. the research ice
breaker "Polarstern" and research stations in the Arctic and Antarctic.

interpret and conserve the earth's biological diversity through research,
education, and citizen science focused on birds. |
| | Save The Orcas Save The Orcas, Inc, is a non-profit organization working to protect
Orcas, and other marine mammals, through both conservation and education. At
present, we are working with a variety of organizations and government
agencies on a recovery plan for the Southern Resident Orca population, which
is listed as an endangered species. |
| | Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Department Neurosciences They develop cochlear implants to revalidate deaf people and also do
research into hearing aids to improve hearing in noise for persons with an
hearing aid. |
| | Vermont Oxford Network The mission of the Vermont Oxford Network is to improve the quality and
safety of medical care for newborn infants and their families through a
coordinated program of research, education and quality improvement projects.
The Vermont Oxford Network is a non-profit voluntary collaboration of health
care professionals dedicated to our mission. |
